Final Fantasy Walkthrough - Part 1
The game starts with the player gaining control of the characters outside of the town of Corneria. You can enter either Corneria Castle or town. I find it easier to go to town first because you will be escorted to the castle afterwards. You can enter town by walking right or left before getting to the castle.
In town buy some equipment and spells, and other items such as sleeping bags. Don't waste money on antidotes, you won't be encountering any enemies that can poison you right now.
While engaging with the townsfolk, you will discover the princess has been kidnapped and that the king expects the prophecy of Lukahn to come true with the Warriors of Light arriving and rescuing the princess.
After purchasing anything needed in town, when attempting to leave the guards will recognize that the characters have crystals that signify their potential identity as the Warriors of Light and escort them to the king.
Upon arrival at Castle Cornelia and meeting the king. He notices the crystals the heroes are carrying. The king begins to speak about the prophecy of Lukahn. His doubting Chancellor is convinced otherwise about the identity of these individuals as the Warriors of Light.
The King requests your assistance as the Princess has been kidnapped by Garland, a knight once in the service of the king. You are directed north to the Chaos Shrine as Garland has taken refuge there and is holding the Princess hostage. In return for saving the Princess the bridge will be rebuilt for passage to the northern continent.
If you were escorted here to the kings presence, you can leave the castle by walking directly downward after gaining control of the character.
If you already got your equipment and items, it's time to start our adventure.
Our Journey Begins
Once you have control of the Warriors of light, you'll want to leave Corneria going south then start going north past the forest.
Keep going north you'll go thru this mountain pass.
Continuing north you'll come across the Chaos Shrine. It may be wise to use a sleeping bag before entering the shrine.
